What is IR & Visual face Recognition?

In the Facial Recognition industry, there are commonly 2 types of Facial recognition available one is called IR  and Visual Facial recognition.

 IR facial recognition is a type of facial recognition technology that uses infrared light to capture images of a person's face and identify them. This technology uses a special camera that emits infrared light to illuminate the face and capture an image. The infrared light is not visible to the human eye but can be captured by the camera, allowing it to capture clear images of the face even in low-light or no-light conditions.

IR facial recognition is an advanced biometric technology that offers high accuracy and security for identification and authentication purposes. It is commonly used in various applications such as access control, security systems, border control, and law enforcement. Unlike traditional facial recognition systems, IR facial recognition is not affected by lighting conditions or changes in appearance, such as wearing glasses, makeup, or facial hair. This makes it a more reliable and efficient method for identification and authentication.

The best example of IR facial recognition devices is Suprema Face Lite and Suprema face station 2 Biometrics and Access Control devices.

Visual facial recognition is a type of facial recognition technology that uses visual images, such as photographs or video footage, to identify and authenticate individuals. It works by comparing the unique facial features of a person in a given image with a database of known faces to find a match.

Visual facial recognition technology uses various algorithms and techniques to analyze a person's facial features, such as the distance between the eyes, the shape of the nose, and the curvature of the lips, to create a digital template of the face. This template is then compared to the templates stored in the database to find a match.

Visual facial recognition is commonly used in various applications, including security systems, law enforcement, access control, and marketing. However, it has some limitations, such as difficulties in identifying individuals in low-light or no-light conditions and those who may have changed their appearance, such as wearing glasses or a beard.

The best example of visual facial recognition devices is Suprema Face Station F2 and Suprema Biostation3 Biometrics and Access Control devices.

In Realsoft desktop software the default login credentials are are rss so for the security purpose you can change the credentials. Follow the steps below to do the same. Login in software with default credentials. Now go to Administrator then Change Passwor d to change User Name and Password. How to Reset / Delete all data from Realtime Devices Using Software ?

Sometime when your Realtime face device's memory is full and it starts showing Transaction Full and you want to clear the logs or If you want to refresh the device and delete any or all enrollments, All these can be done using software or from the device directly.
